Visual Expert architecture includes a repository to store your VE Projects. Visual Expert will install a free version of SQL Server on your machine if you select "Install a new SQL Server instance" when prompted at setup time (you can also access this option by going to Connect to Database). This instance of SQL Server will contain a Master Database. Plus all your projects and code analyses are stored in different databases, in your VE Repository.
