What is the VE licensing model? Can a license be installed on several seats?

A visual Expert license is tied to a Repository storing your projects.

There are 2 types of Visual Expert license available:

  1. Per seat: 1 license = 1 workstation. In this case, the Repository is usually a local instance of SQL Server.
  2. Per concurrent User: the number of licenses determines the number of developers that can connect to the Visual Expert Repository at the same time. In this case, the Repository is usually a Server instance of SQL Server. This Server instance is used concurrently by developers who installed the Visual Expert client on their workstation, and connected their VE client to the shared VE Repository.
